CPD Makes Arrest in Residential “Peeping Tom” and Burglary Incidents 

Carrollton, GA (October 13, 2025) – Between August and October 2025, the Carrollton Police Department Criminal Investigations Division has been investigating a series of overnight residential incidents involving suspicious activity, window tampering, and unlawful entries. Several cases were reported at housing complexes including River Pointe, The Towns, Octiv Row, Flagship, Carrollton Crossing, and The Reserve Apartments. 

During the investigation, detectives were able to identify the suspect who was taken into custody on October 8, 2025, in Ellenwood, Georgia. This investigation revealed other crimes, as well. 

The following has been arrested in connection with these incidents: 

Bennard Gregory McMorris II, age 25, of Ellenwood, Georgia.  His current charges are: 

-Burglary (1st Degree) 

-Peeping Tom (multiple counts) 

-Child Molestation 

-Sexual Exploitation of Children 

This case is active and ongoing with additional charges possible. No more information will be released at this time.
