Officer Brad Easterwood was promoted to the rank of Corporal on 07/21/2010.  Brad joined the department in February of 2006. He was assigned to the Traffic Unit in 2008. Brad is certified in LIDAR, Radar, Intox 5000, Standardized Field Sobriety and is about to become a certified Drug Recognition Expert. He has over 1000 training hours and has completed On Scene Accident Investigations Level I and II.  Brad received the Officer of the Year Award and MADD Award in 2009.  Brad is a Field Training Officer and a member of the Special Response Team. Congratulations!

Please join us on Sept. 25 for the 2nd Annual Run From The Cops fundraiser presented by the Carrollton Fraternal Order of Police, Kappa Delta Sorority, & Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity.  There will be a 1 mile Fun Run and a 5K.

The Carrollton Police Department is now linked to a website called Crime Reports.  This allows citizens to view current crime in all areas of the city as well as showing where registered sex offenders live.  Citizens may also sign up for an electronic notification if a crime is committed within a certain area of their residence.  This site may be accessed by clicking on the "Links" tab of our website and then clicking on "Crime Reports".  If you have any questions regarding this new feature, please contact Officer Glenn Lyle at vog.ag-notllorrac@elylg.

The Carrollton Police Department is pleased to announce the promotion of Officer Dan Browner to Corporal.  Dan joined the department in January of 2006 and has received more than 1000 hours of P.O.S.T. training.  Congratulations!

The Carrollton Police Department announced the 2009 Employee and Officer of the Year at the annual Christmas Party on 12/10/09.  Tom Keever was named the 2009 Employee of the Year and Officer Anthony "AJ" Johnson was named the 2009 Officer of the Year.  Congratulations to both you.  You both do an outstanding job and this award was well deserved.
